After graduating in 1997 in Biology, he completed classical piano studies in 2004, under the direction of Jean Pierre Dupuy. Five years later, in 2009, he graduated in sonology at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Esmuc). At the same time, he composed, as an autodidact, accompanying music of several silent films («Nosferatu», «Metropolis») and music for dance performances («Brevario», by «Increpación Danza»).
In 2012 he began studying electroacoustic composition in France with Denis Dufour and Jonathan Prager, being introduced by the latter in the art of acousmatic music live performance. He is currently writing a phD about the French electroacoustic school under the direction of Carmen Pardo. In this thesis examines the contributions of Pierre Schaeffer, François Bayle and Michel Chion, among others, to electroacoustic thinking.
He has teached at Esdi (a School of Design under the Ramón Llull University), at Master’s Degree in Design and Production of Spaces (under the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), and at Taller de Músics. He is currently teaching acousmatic composition in Master of Sonic Art (organized by University of Barcelona), and music performance with musical controllers at Eumes (School of Advanced Music and Sound, which depends on the University of Girona).
His electroacoustic works have been presented at Festivals as «Zeppelin» and «Mixtur» (Barcelona, Spain), «Sirga» (Flix, Spain), «Festival de Música Contemporánea de Alicante» (Alicante, Spain), «Encontres de Compositors» (Mallorca, Spain), «Musiques d'aujourd'hui» (Perpignan, France), «Futura» (Crest, France), «Cycle Experiences du son» (Paris, France), «Musica Electronica Nova» (Poland), «Musicacoustica» (Beijing), and «New York City Electroacustic Music Festival» (New York), among others. He also participates frequently in concerts organized in Barcelona by Phonos and «El Sindicato de Altavoces», Pablo Fredes' personal «acousmonium».
Passionate about Poblenou (a neighborhood of Barcelona), about its beach, and about the electroacoustic music for fixed media (also known as «acousmatic music»), he has co-directed several festivals dedicated to promotion of that musical genre, such as the 2012 and 2013 editions of the «Festival Mixtur» («Festival of New Sound Creation of Barcelona»), and editions held between 2013 and 2019 of the «Festival Zeppelin» («Festival of Electroacoustic Music and Sound Art of Barcelona»). He is currently an independent consultant in «ACA» («Àrea de Creació Acústica»), organization based in Búger, Mallorca, where he curates the selection of electroacoustic works for the «Encontres de Compositors», a contemporary music festival.
